Job Description
Experienced Quality Manager needed for immediate hire in a well-established commercial transparent/glass manufacturing company.
**Candidates please read carefully: Previous experience working in quality management of transparent armor, safety, flat, tempered or durable architectural GLASS is a DIRECT requirement of this opportunity. If you do not have recent GLASS experience (last 24 months) your resume will not be considered.
•Responsible for conducting process audits at transparent armor/glass manufacturing plant, as well as select vendors.
•Responsible for conducting audits of quality assurance auditors/inspectors to ensure all auditing procedures are being followed.
•Work with plant quality assurance auditors/inspectors to improve inspection competence, and product knowledge.
•Maintain all current standards, reports and records and distribute as needed.
•Coordinate and track special projects, repair jobs, and inspections from initiation through to disposition of product.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-5 years of current and relevant experience in transparent armor/ballistic glass production in quality.
-Degree in Quality or Engineering
-Engineering Process Experience
-Technical skills of Quality Assurance
-Good communication, open minded, able to make decision quickly
